Title: “Conversations or Habits We Never Admit We Have”
Everyone has quirks. Small habits, slightly strange, completely justified…at least in our own head.

Conversation 1: With Yourself
You (in mirror): “Why did you say that?!”
Also you: “No no, I should’ve said THIS—”
restarts scene “Actually, what I meant was…”
Congratulations. You’ve just won an argument that never happened. Funny ?? or Quirky??
Does this happens to you …well this is my everyday thing… ooops
Scene 2: With the Door Lock …..click
Walk away. Pause.
“Did I lock it?”
Walk back. Check.
“Yes, locked.”
Walk again. Pause again.
“But what if…?”
At this point, the lock is more confident than you are. hahaha…
I could hear the lock say I am here safe and sound…go do your thing…

“You Can’t have everything, where will you put it?”
Scene 3: Eating food is like a ritual to some ( now who’s that someone you think)
Plate in front of you.
You : “Okay… eat everything first. Save the best bite for last.”
So you begin -systematically.
Sabji alag, Roti alag. Favorite piece resting and protected in the corner of the plate.
The nosy friend : “Why are you eating like that?”
You (very seriously): ” It’s a system”
Meal continues and finally….
It’s time.
You lift that favourite mithai slowly…to enjoy it…prepared for closure.
And then – ” Just give me one bite na!”
You freeze..
look at them
look at the plate
look at them.
“This…
This was not included in the plan.”
Food quirks don’t follow logic. They follow emotion. And somehow everyone thinks their method is the correct one.
Conversation 4: In the Shower
You: “If they say this, I’ll say that.”
Imaginary person: says something outrageous
You: “EXACTLY! That’s what I’ve been saying!”
You step out of the shower—
fully prepared
for a confrontation
no one is planning.
The strange thing is— we all do these things. We just pretend we don’t.
Quirks don’t fix problems. They don’t solve anything. But they add… texture.
Little patterns that make life slightly less predictable, and a lot more human.
Maybe quirks are not weird.
Maybe they’re just private conversations we have with the world—without ever saying a word OR a food habit that’s ours and its comforting in a vey different way.
What quirks you have? Would share in the comments?
